2 sticks of butter melted
2 cups sugar
6 eggs beaten
2 cups coconut
2 cups pecan pieces
1 LB vanilla wafers (crushed)
1/2 cup milk
Combine all the above and pour into a greased and floured angel food cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done in the center. Sometimes it takes a little longer. If you turn the cake out of the pan and u find it isn't done, quickly put the pan back down over the cake and cook for a little longer.
This cake is best served with whipped cream and also gets better with age
This is a cake we use at Christmas since we don't like fruit cake
